Medical Equipment Specifications
The aircraft is especially fitted out with top of the range medical instruments and equipment to recreate a bed (or two) in an Intensive Care Unit. The configuration is set up also to accommodate specialised equipment, such as incubators, when required.
Great care is taken when choosing the right medical equipment for MIAA and its missions. MIAA stocks a redundant number of instruments to ensure flexibility and quick time-responsiveness on its missions.

Ventilator
The LTV 1200 ventilator's ease of use and versatility helps ensure optimal patient care across transportation settings. Whether in the ICU, PICU, ED or Patient Transport, the LTV 1200 has the flexibility to adapt to changing respiratory needs. At a fraction of the size of comparably equipped systems, the LTV 1200 moves seamlessly with the patient.
Infusion system
The Alaris MedSystem III DLE Multi-Channel Infusion System brings a new dimension to drug infusion technology. The instrument combines three independent infusion channels with exceptional features and clinical versatility in an unparalleled small size. Now with Advanced Dose Rate Calculation, the MedSystem III Infusion System simplifies the delivery of complex drug regimens.
Suction unit
This high performance DeVilbiss Suction Unit 7305 series completes the portable suction line with high performance capabilities in a small compact package. The unit has conveniently placed gauge for easy reading. This is especially important when precise measurements of vacuum are needed for the paediatric patient. This compact design unit has an adjustable flow regulator. The DeVilbiss Suction Unit 7305 series met the RTCA/DO160D Aircraft Standard as well as the US Federal Specification KKK-A-1822D Ambulance Standard and the ISO-10079 Suction Standard.
Incubator
The Air Shields TI-500 Incubator with double wall, skin Temperature Probes, Examination Lamp, 2 Quiet Touch Port Doors and 2 Access Doors, 6 Tubing Ports and one Iris port make the ideal quality system for transportation of paediatric patients.
Monitor Defibrillator
The Lifepak 12 Defibrillator / Monitor provides a full-featured defibrillator and monitor all packed into a single portable device especially ideal for transport roles. The large display allows for up to 3 channels of ECG to be displayed. Configurable with such options as AED, Non-invasive pacing and Spo2 makes this rugged unit an invaluable asset in any healthcare setting, but especially when transporting patients.
